Three routes, and they are not interchangeable

A qualification is a credential with entry requirements and assessment. Short courses and coaching support people already doing the work. Knowing which you need is usually the first decision.

01Professional qualification

A credential. It carries a level, has published entry requirements, and is assessed — so what you hold at the end means the same thing to every employer.

Format: Levelled programme with published entry requirements
Outcome: Assessed — results in a certificate anyone can verify

02Short course

Scheduled professional development. Dated sessions with a stated number of hours and a set number of places, separate from the qualification routes.

Format: Fixed dates, stated hours, limited places
Outcome: Professional development

03Professional coaching

Executive, career and team coaching for people already doing the work. Engagements begin from the outcome you need and are structured around reaching it.

Format: One-to-one or with a team
Outcome: Progress against objectives you set

03Taking a qualification

What the route actually asks of you

A qualification is not booked, it is entered. The same three stages apply to every qualification we award, and each one is published before you commit to it.

Check the entry requirements
Each programme lists who it is aimed at and what you need before starting, so you can tell whether it is the right level for you.
Complete the programme
Study and assessment follow the structure published on the programme page, including its stated duration.
Receive a verifiable certificate
On completion we issue a certificate with a code. Anyone can confirm it against our register without contacting us.

Coaching

A thinking partnership, not advice

Coaching is a structured conversation that helps you think more clearly about a situation you are already in, and then act on it.

A coach does not tell you what to do or supply a template. The value is in the quality of attention, the questions, and the fact that you leave each session having committed to something specific.

Sessions are confidential. What is said in them stays between you and your coach.

Executive.: Confidential sessions focused on the decisions, relationships and trade-offs a senior role actually involves — not a generic leadership curriculum.
Career.: For people at a decision point: changing field, stepping up, or working out what the next stage should look like before committing to it.
Team.: Sessions with an intact team on how it works together — communication, decision-making and accountability — rather than coaching members separately.
